Lace Diamond Stitch Knitting Pattern

How to knit Lace Diamond Stitch:

Work with a multiple of 16 sts + 1 + 2 edge stitches.

Cast on 35 sts (16 + 1 + 2 edge sts) and work according to chart.

The chart shows only Right Side Rows.

On Wrong Side rows, work all sts as they appear; work yo's according to chart key.

The patt rep = 16 sts wide.

Begin with 1 edge st and 8 sts before patt rep, work patt rep throughout, end with 9 sts after patt rep and 1 edge st.

yo: yarn over. On Wrong Side rows, work the yo P.

yok: yarn over. On Wrong Side rows, work the yo K.

k2tog: knit 2 stitches together

skpo: slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 1 and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch 

p2tog: purl 2 stitches together

p2tog tbl: purl two stitches together as one stitch through the back loop

cdd (Central Double Decrease): slip first and second stitches together as if to knit, knit 1 stitch, pass two slipped stitches over the knit stitch
