Lace Diamond Stitch Knitting Pattern

Work with a multiple of 22 stitches + 1 + 2 edge stitches.

Cast on 25 stitches (22 + 1 + 2 edge stitches) and work according to chart.

The chart shows only Right Side Rows.

On Wrong Side Rows, purl all the stitches and any yarn-over loops.

The pattern repeat = 22 stitches wide.

Begin with 1 edge stitch, work the pattern repeat across the row, then end with 1 stitch after the repeat and 1 edge stitch.

k: knit

yo: yarn over

k2tog: knit 2 stitches together

skpo: slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 1 and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch

Row 1 (right side): edge stitch, * k5, k2tog, k4, yo, k1, yo, k4, skpo, k4 *; repeat from * to *; end with k1, edge stitch.

Row 2 and all even-numbered rows (wrong side): Purl.

Row 3: edge stitch, * k4, yo, skpo, k2tog, k3, yo, k1, yo, k3, skpo, k2tog, yo, k3 *; repeat from * to *; end with k1, edge stitch.
