How to knit Lace Checker Stitch:

Work with a multiple of 16 stitches + 2 edge sts.

Cast on 18 sts (16 + 2 edge sts) and work according to сhart.

The chart shows only Right Side Rows.

On Wrong Side Rows, purl all sts and yo’s. 

The patt rep = 16 sts wide.

Repeat patt between edge stitches throughout.

yo: yarn over

k2tog: knit 2 stitches together

Row 1: edge st, * * p6, k2tog, yo, k8 *; repeat from * to *; edge st.

Row 3: edge st, * p5, k2tog, yo, k9 *; repeat from * to *; edge st.

Row 5: edge st, * p4, (k2tog, yo) twice, k8 *; repeat from * to *; edge st.

Row 7: edge st, * p3, (k2tog, yo) twice, k9 *; repeat from * to *; edge st.

Row 9: edge st, * p2, (k2tog, yo) 3 times, k8 *; repeat from * to *; edge st.

Row 11: edge st, * p1, (k2tog, yo) 3 times, k9 *; repeat from * to *; edge st.

Row 13: edge st, * (k2tog, yo) 4 times, k8 *; repeat from * to *; edge st.

Row 15: edge st, * k8, p6, k2tog, yo *; repeat from * to *; edge st.
