Lace Checker Stitch Knitting Pattern

How to knit Lace Checker Stitch:

Work with multiple of 12 stitches + 1 + 2 edge stitches.

Cast on 15 sts (1 + 12 + 2 edge sts) and work according to chart.

The chart shows only Right Side Rows.

On Wrong Side Rows, purl all sts and yo’s.

The pat rep = 12 sts wide.

Begin with 1 edge st and stitch before patt rep, work patt rep throughout, end with 1 edge st.

yo: yarn over

K2tog: knit 2 stitches together

K2tog tbl: knit 2 stitches together through back loop

K2tog twice with interchange the 3rd and 2nd sts: reverse the order of the third and second stitch on the left needle, then K2tog twice

K2tog tbl twice with interchange the 2nd and 3rd sts: reverse the order of the second and third stitches on the left needle, then K2tog tbl twice

Row 1: knit all sts.

Rows 3 and 5: edge st, k1, * K2tog twice with interchange the 3rd and 2nd sts; (yo, k1) 3 times, yo, K2tog tbl twice with interchange the 2nd and 3rd sts, k1, repeat from * to last stitch, edge st.

Row 7: knit all sts.

Rows 9 and 11: edge st, k1, * yo, k1, yo, K2tog tbl twice with interchange the 2nd and 3rd sts, k1, K2tog twice with interchange the 3rd and 2nd sts, (yo, k1) twice, repeat from * to last stitch, edge st.

Repeat Rows 1-12 throughout.
