Lace Cable Stitch Knitting Pattern

How to knit Lace Cable Stitch:

Work with multiple of 22 stitches + 1 + 2 edge stitches.

Cast on 25 sts (22 + 1 + 2 edge sts) and work according to chart.

The chart shows only Right Side Rows.

On Wrong Side Rows, work all sts as they appear; work yo's Purl.

The patt rep = 22 sts wide.

Begin with 1 edge st, work patt rep throughout, end with 1 st after patt rep and 1 edge st.

yo: yarn over

p2tog: purl 2 sts together

p2tog tbl: purl 2 sts together as one stitch through the back loop

cddp (Central Double Decrease): transpose the order of the first and second stitch on the left needle, then purl the three stitches together

C4F: slip 2 sts to cable needle, hold to front, K2, K2 from cable needle

C4B: slip 2 sts to cable needle, hold to back, K2, K2 from cable needle

Row 1: edge st, * k1, yo, k4, p2tog tbl, p9, p2tog, k4, yo; repeat from * to last 2 sts, k1, edge st.

Row 3: edge st, * k2, yo, C4F, p2tog tbl, p7, p2tog, C4B, yo, k1; repeat from * to last 2 sts, k1, edge st.

Row 5: edge st, * k3, yo, k4, p2tog tbl, p5, p2tog, k4, yo, k2; repeat from * to last 2 sts, k1, edge st.

Row 7: edge st, * k4, yo, C4F, p2tog tbl, p3, p2tog, C4B, yo, k3; repeat from * to last 2 sts, k1, edge st.

Row 9: edge st, * k5, yo, k4, p2tog tbl, p1, p2tog, k4, yo, k4; repeat from * to last 2 sts, k1, edge st.

Row 11: edge st, * k6, yo, C4F, cddp, C4B, yo, k5; repeat from * to last 2 sts, k1, edge st.

Repeat Rows 1-12 throughout.
