Lace Cable Stitch Knitting Pattern

How to knit Lace Cable Stitch:

Work with multiple of 21 stitches + 6 + 2 edge stitches.

Cast on 29 sts (21 + 6 + 2 edge sts) and work according to chart.

The chart shows only Right Side Rows.

On Wrong Side Rows, work all sts as they appear; work yo's Purl.

The patt rep = 21 sts wide.

Begin with 1 edge st, work patt rep throughout, end with 6 sts after patt rep and 1 edge st.

yo: yarn over

k2tog: knit 2 stitches together

skpo: slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 1 and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch 

K3tog: knit 3 stitches together 

sk2p: slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 2 together and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted together stitches

C4B: slip 2 sts to cable needle, hold to back, K2, K2 from cable needle

Row 1: edge st, * p1, k4, p1, k2tog, k1, yo, k1, k2tog, k1, yo, k1, yo, k1, skpo, k1, yo, k1, skpo; repeat from * to last 7 sts, p1, k4, p1, edge st.

Row 2 and all even-numbered rows: work each stitch as it appears on this side of work (k the k sts and p the p sts), work yo's P.

Row 3: edge st, * p1, C4B, p1, yo, skpo, k1, k2tog, k1, yo, k3, yo, k1, skpo, k1, k2tog, yo; repeat from * to last 7 sts, p1, C4B, p1, edge st.

Row 5: edge st, * p1, k4, p2, yo, k3tog, k1, yo, k5, yo, k1, sk2p, yo, p1; repeat from * to last 7 sts, p1, k4, p1, edge st.

Row 7: edge st, * p1, C4B, p2, k2tog, k1, yo, k7, yo, k1, skpo, p1; repeat from * to last 7 sts, p1, C4B, p1, edge st.

Repeat Rows 1-8 throughout.
