Lace Cable Stitch Knitting Pattern

How to knit Lace Cable Stitch:

Work with multiple of 9 stitches + 5 + 2 edge stitches.

Cast on 16 sts (1 + 9 + 4 + 2 edge sts) and work according to chart.

The chart shows Right Side rows and Wrong Side rows.

The numbers at right edge of chart indicate RS rows, and at left edge WS rows.

Read RS rows from right to left, WS rows from left to right.

The pat rep = 9 sts wide.

yo: yarn over

p2tog: purl 2 stitches together

C4B: slip 2 sts to cable needle, hold to back, K2, K2 from cable needle

Row 1 (RS): edge st, p1, * p2, p2tog, yo, k4, p1, repeat from * to last 5 sts, p2, p2tog, yo, edge st.

Row 2, 4 and 6 (WS): edge st, k4, * k1, p4, k4, repeat from * to last 2 sts, k1, edge st.

Row 3: edge st, p1, * p1, p2tog, yo, p1, C4B, p1, repeat from * to last 5 sts, p1, p2tog, yo, p1, edge st.

Row 5: edge st, p1, * p2tog, yo, p2, k4, p1, repeat from * to last 5 sts, p2tog, yo, p2, edge st.

Repeat these 6 rows for pattern.
