How to knit Lace Cable Stitch:
Work with a multiple of 13 stitches + 10 + 2 edge stitches.
Cast on 25 stitches (13 + 10 + 2 edge stitches) and work according to chart.
The chart shows Right Side rows and Wrong Side rows.
The numbers at right edge of chart indicate Right Side rows, and at left edge Wrong Side rows.
Read Right Side rows from right to left, Wrong Side rows from left to right.
The pattern repeat = 13 stitches wide.
Abbreviation:
k: Knit
p: Purl
yo: Yarn Over
k2tog: knit 2 stitches together as one
skpo: slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 1 and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch
C6B: slip 3 stitches to cable needle, hold to back, K3, K3 from cable needle
Written Instructions:
Row 1 (right side): edge stitch, * p2, k6, p2, k3 *; repeat from * to *; p2, k6, p2, edge stitch.
Rows 2, 4, 6 and 8 (wrong side): edge stitch, k2, p6, k2, * p3, k2, p6, k2 *; repeat from * to *; edge stitch.
Row 3: edge stitch, * p2, k6, p2, yo, k2tog, k1 *; repeat from * to *; p2, k6, p2, edge stitch.
Row 5: edge stitch, * p2, C6B, p2, k3 *; repeat from * to *; p2, C6B, p2, edge stitch.
Row 7: edge stitch, * p2, k6, p2, k1, skpo, yo *; repeat from * to *; p2, k6, p2, edge stitch.
Repeat Rows 1-8 throughout.
