Knitting Braid Cable

How to knit a Braid Cable:

Multiple of 6 + 3 + 2 selvage sts. 

Cast on 17 stitches (6 + 6 + 3 + 2 edge sts) and work according to chart.

RS rows and WS rows are shown.

Read RS rows from right to left, WS rows from left to right.

The pat rep = 6 sts wide.

p1 elongated: purl 1 st and 1 yo (yarn over) together, yo to be dropped on following row

C6F: slip 3 sts to cable needle, hold to front, K3, K3 from cable needle

C6B: slip 3 sts to cable needle, hold to back, K3, K3 from cable needle

Row 1: knit all sts.

Rows 2 and 4: edge st, p3, * (p1 elongated) 3 times, p3, repeat from *, edge st.

Row 3: edge st, * C6B, repeat from * to the last 4 sts, k3, edge st.

Row 5: edge st, k3, * C6F, repeat from *, edge st.

Work rows 1-5 once, then repeat rows 2-5 throughout.
