How to knit Fancy Stitch:

Multiple of 16 + 1 + 2 edge sts.

Cast on 19 sts (16 + 1 + 2 edge sts) and work according to сhart.

The chart shows only RS rows.

On WS rows, work sts as they appear or according to chart key; work yo’s P.

The pat rep = 16 sts wide.

Row 1: edge st, * 2 sts in garter stitch (gst) (= work K in RS and WS rows), yarn over (yo), K7, SK2P (= slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 2 together and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted together stitches), K3, yo, 1 gst, repeat from *, end with 1 gst and edge st.

Row 3: edge st, * 2 gst, yo, K6, SK2P, P1, K3, yo, 1 gst, repeat from *, end with 1 gst and edge st.

Row 5: edge st, * 2 gst, yo, K5, SK2P, P1, K4, yo, 1 gst, repeat from *, end with 1 gst and edge st.

Row 7: edge st, * 2 gst, yo, K4, SK2P, P1, K5, yo, 1 gst, repeat from *, end with 1 gst and edge st.

Row 1: edge st, * 2 gst, yo, K3, SK2P, P1, K6, yo, 1 gst, repeat from *, end with 1 gst and edge st.

Row 11: edge st, * 2 gst, yo, K2, SK2P, P1, K7, yo, 1 gst, repeat from * end with 1 gst and edge st.

Work rows 1-12 once, then repeat rows 3-12 throughout.
