Fancy Stitch Knitting Pattern

How to knit Fancy Stitch:

Multiple of 10 + 2 edge sts.

Cast on 12 sts and work according to the chart.

The chart shows only RS rows.

On WS rows, work all sts and yo’s P.

The pat rep = 10 sts wide.

Repeat patt between edge stitches throughout.

yo: yarn over

k2tog: knit 2 stitches together

skpo: slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 1 and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch

Rows 1 and 3: edge st, * k1, p8, k1, repeat from *, edge st.

Row 2 and all even-numbered rows: work all sts and yo’s P.

Row 5: edge st, * k1, yo, skpo, k4, k2tog, yo, k1, repeat from *, edge st.

Row 7: edge st, * k2, yo, skpo, k2, k2tog, yo, k2, repeat from *, edge st.

Row 9: edge st, * k3, yo, skpo, k2tog, yo, k3, repeat from *, edge st.

Rows 11 and 13: edge st, * p4, k2, p4, repeat from *, edge st.

Row 15: edge st, * k2, k2tog, yo, k2, yo, skpo, k2, repeat from *, edge st.

Row 17: edge st, * k1, k2tog, yo, k4, yo, skpo, k1, repeat from *, edge st.

Row 19: edge st, * k2tog, yo, k6, yo, skpo, repeat from *, edge st.

Repeat rows 1-20 throughout.
