Fancy Stitch Knitting Pattern

How to knit Fancy Stitch:

Multiple of 16 + 1 + 2 edge sts.

Cast on 19 sts (16 + 1 + 2 edge sts) and work according to the chart.

The chart shows only RS rows.

On WS rows, purl all sts and yo’s.

The pat rep = 16 sts wide.

k2tog: knit 2 stitches together

skpo: slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 1 and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch

sk2p: slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 2 together and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted together stitches

Row 1: edge st, * k1, yo (= yarn over), p3, skpo, k5, k2tog, p3, yo, repeat from * to the last 2 sts, k1, edge st.

Row 3: edge st, * k2, yo, p3, skpo, k3, k2tog, p3, yo, k1, repeat from * to the last 2 sts, k1, edge st.

Row 5: edge st, * k3, yo, p3, skpo, k1, k2tog, p3, yo, k2, repeat from * to the last 2 sts, k1, edge st.

Row 7: edge st, * k4, yo, p3, sk2p, p3, yo, k3, repeat from * to the last 2 sts, k1, edge st.

Repeat rows 3-18 throughout.
