How to knit Fancy Stitch:

Multiple of 4 + 3 + 2 selvage sts.

Cast on 17 sts (4 + 4 + 4 + 3 + 2 edge) and work according to сhart.

The chart shows only RS rows.

On WS rows, work sts as they appear; work yo’s P.

The pat rep = 4 sts wide.

Rows 1 and 3: begin with 1 selv st (edge), work patt rep throughout, end with 3 sts after patt rep and 1 selv st.

Rows 5 and 7: begin with 1 selv st and 2 sts before patt rep, work patt rep throughout, end with st after patt and 1 selv st.

Description:

Row 1: edge st, * K1, P1, K2, repeat from *, K1, P1, K 1 and edge.

Row 3: edge st, * create 3 sts from 3 sts (= K3tog, work 1 yo without slipping the st from the needle, again K3tog), P1, repeat from *,  create 3 sts from 3 sts, edge st. 

Row 5: edge st, K2, * K1, P1, K2, repeat from *, end with K1 and edge st.

Row 7: edge st, K1, P1, * create 3 sts from 3 sts, P1, repeat from *, end with K1 and edge st.

Repeat Rows 1-8 throughout.
