Fancy Rib Stitch Knitting Pattern

How to knit Fancy Rib Stitch:

Work with a multiple of 4 stitches + 3 + 2 edge stitches.

Cast on 17 sts (4 + 4 + 4 + 3 + 2 edge sts) and work according to chart.

The chart shows Right Side rows and Wrong Side rows.

The numbers at right edge of chart indicate RS rows, and at left edge WS rows.

The patt rep = 4 sts wide.

cr3right: slip 1 st to 1st cable needle and hold in back; slip 1 st to 2nd cn and hold in front; K1; then K1 from 2nd cable needle; finally K1 from 1st cable needle

cr3left: slip 2 sts to cable needle and hold in front; K1; knit the 2nd st before the 1st st from cable needle, then knit the 1st st from cable needle

Row 1 (RS): edge st, * (k1, p1) twice *; repeat from * to *; k1, p1, k1, edge st.

Row 2 and all WS rows: edge st, p1, k1, p1, * (k1, p1) twice *; repeat from * to *; edge st.

Row 3: edge st, * cr3left, p1 *; repeat from * to *; cr3left, edge st.

Row 5: edge st, k1, p1, * (k1, p1) twice *; repeat from * to *; k1, edge st.

Row 7: edge st, k1, p1, * cr3right, p1 *; repeat from * to *; k1, edge st.

Repeat these 8 rows for pattern.
