Fancy Leaf Stitch Knitting Pattern
How to knit Fancy Leaf Stitch:
Work with multiple of 16 stitches + 3 + 2 edge stitches.
Cast on 21 sts (2 + 16 + 1 + 2 edge sts) and work according to chart.
The chart shows only Right Side Rows.
On Wrong Side rows, work sts as they appear and yo's P.
The patt rep = 16 sts wide.
Begin with Wrong Side Row 0 (Set-up row).
yo: yarn over
k2tog: knit 2 stitches together
skpo: slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 1 and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch
work 3 sts from 4 sts to left: pass 3rd st on the left needle over previous 2 sts, knit 1, yo, skpo (= slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 1 and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch)
work 3 sts from 4 sts to right: slip 1 stitch purlwise to right needle, pass 3rd st on the left needle over previous 2 sts, place slipped st back on left needle, K2tog, yo, K1
Set-up Row 0 (WS): edge st, k1, p1, * p3, k9, p4 *, repeat from * to *, k1, edge st.
Row 1: edge st, p1, * k1, yo, work 3 sts from 4 sts to left, p7, work 3 sts from 4 sts to right, yo *, repeat from * to *, k1, p1, edge st.
Row 2 and all even-numbered rows: work each stitch as it appears on this side of work (k the k sts and p the p sts), purl yo’s.
Row 3: edge st, p1, * k1, yo, p1, k2, skpo, p5, k2tog, k2, p1, yo *, repeat from * to *, k1, p1, edge st.
Row 5: edge st, p1, * k1, yo, p2, work 3 sts from 4 sts to left, p3, work 3 sts from 4 sts to right, p2, yo *, repeat from * to *, k1, p1, edge st.
