How to knit Fancy Stitch Pattern:

Cast on 29 sts (16 + 11 + 2 edge sts) and work according to сhart.

The chart shows only RS rows.

On WS rows, work sts as they appear or according to chart key.

The pat rep = 16 sts wide. 

Abbreviations:

K1tbl: knit 1 stitch through back loop. On WS row, purl 1 stitch through back loop

inc5: make 5 sts (K1, yo, K1, yo, K1) into 1 st

dec5 (decrease 5-to-1): slip 3 stitches together as if to knit, knit 2 together, pass the 3 slipped stitches over the stitches knitted together

Row 1: edge st, * p1, K1tbl, p1, k5, p1, K1tbl, p1, k5, repeat from * to last 12 sts, p1, K1tbl, p1, k5, p1, K1tbl, p1, edge st.

Row 3: edge st, * p1, K1tbl, p1, k5, p1, K1tbl, p1, dec5, repeat from * to last 12 sts, p1, K1tbl, p1, k5, p1, K1tbl, p1, edge st.

Row 5: edge st, * p1, K1tbl, p1, k5, p1, K1tbl, p1, inc5, repeat from * to last 12 sts, p1, K1tbl, p1, k5, p1, K1tbl, p1, edge st.

Row 7: edge st, * p1, K1tbl, p1, k5, p1, K1tbl, p1, k5, repeat from * to last 12 sts, p1, K1tbl, p1, k5, p1, K1tbl, p1, edge st.
