How to knit Fancy Stitch Pattern:

Cast on 30 sts (28 + 2 edge sts) and work according to сhart.

The chart shows only RS rows.

On WS rows, work sts as they appear or according to chart key; work yo’s P.

Abbreviations:

slstwithyo: make 1 yo (yarn over), pass 1 stitch over on the right needle purlwise. On WS row, purl this st with yo together

k2tog: knit 2 stitches together

skpo: slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 1 and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch 

2-st LT: knit 2nd st from behind without dropping from LH needle, knit first, drop both sts from LH needle together

C2BP: Slip 1 st to cn, hold to back, K1, P st from cn

C2FP: Slip 1 st to cn, hold to front, P1, K st from cn

Row 1: edge st, slstwithyo, p6, k1, (C2BP, C2FP) 3 times, k1, p6, slstwithyo, edge st.

Row 3: edge st, slstwithyo, p4, k2tog, k1, yo, k1, p2, (2-st LT, p2) twice, k1, yo, k1, skpo, p4, slstwithyo, edge st.

Row 5: edge st, slstwithyo, p3, k2tog, k1, yo, p1, (C2FP, C2BP) 3 times, p1, yo, k1, skpo, p3, slstwithyo, edge st.

Row 7: edge st, slstwithyo, p2, k2tog, k1, yo, k1, (p2, 2-st LT) 3 times, p2, k1, yo, k1, skpo, p2, slstwithyo, edge st.

Repeat rows 1-8 throughout.
