How to knit Relief Stitch:

Multiple of 4 + 2 + 2 edge sts.

Cast on 16 sts (4 + 4 + 4 + 2 + 2 edge sts) and work according to сhart.

The chart shows RS rows and WS rows.

Read RS rows from right to left, WS rows from left to right.

The pat rep = 4 sts.

Row 1 and all follow odd rows: knit all stitches.

Row 2: edge st, p2, * yarn over, P2 and pass yo over these P2, p2 repeat from *, edge st.

Row 4: edge st, * yarn over, P2 and pass yo over these P2, p2, repeat from * to last 3 sts, yarn over, P2 and pass yo over these P2, edge st.

Repeat these 4 rows for pattern.
