Easy Leaves Stitch Knitting Pattern

How to knit Leaves Stitch:

Work with multiple of 10 stitches + 1 + 2 edge stitches.

Cast on 13 sts (1 + 10 + 2 edge sts) and work according to chart.

The chart shows only Right Side Rows.

On Wrong Side Rows, purl all sts and yo’s.

The pat rep = 10 sts wide.

Begin with 1 edge st and stitch before patt rep, work patt repeat throughout, end with 1 edge st.

yo: yarn over

cdd (Central Double Decrease): slip first and second stitches together as if to knit, knit 1 stitch, pass two slipped stitches over the knit stitch

Row 1: edge st, k1, * k3, yo, cdd, yo, k4, repeat from * to last stitch, edge st.

Row 3: edge st, k1, * k2, yo, k1, cdd, k1, yo, k3, repeat from * to last stitch, edge st.

Row 5: edge st, k1, * k1, yo, k2, cdd, k2, yo, k2, repeat from * to last stitch, edge st.

Row 7, 9 and 11: edge st, k1, * yo, k3, cdd, k3, yo, k1, repeat from * to last stitch, edge st.

Repeat Rows 1 through 12 for pattern.
