Easy Lace Stitch Knitting Pattern

How to knit Lace Stitch:

Multiple of 13 + 1 + 2 selvage sts.

Cast on 16 sts (13 + 1 + 2 selv sts) and work according to chart.

The chart shows only RS rows.

On WS rows, work sts as they appear; purl yo’s.

The pat rep = 13 sts wide.

k2tog: knit 2 stitches together

skpo: slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 1 and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch 

Row 1: edge st, * p1, k2tog, k2, yo (yarn over), k1, yo, k5, skpo, repeat from * to the last 2 sts, p1, edge st.

Row 3: edge st, * p1, k2tog, k1, yo, k3, yo, k4, skpo, repeat from * to the last 2 sts, p1, edge st.

Row 5: edge st, * p1, k7, yo, k3, skpo, repeat from * to the last 2 sts, p1, edge st.

Row 7: edge st, * p1, k2tog, k5, yo, k1, yo, k2, skpo, repeat from * to the last 2 sts, p1, edge st.

Row 9: edge st, * p1, k2tog, k4, yo, k3, yo, k1, skpo, repeat from * to the last 2 sts, p1, edge st.

Row 11: edge st, * p1, k2tog, k3, yo, k7, repeat from * to the last 2 sts, p1, edge st.

Repeat Rows 1-12 throughout.
