Easy Lace Stitch Knitting Pattern

How to knit Lace Stitch:

Multiple of 10 + 1 + 2 selvage sts.

Cast on 23 sts (5 + 10 + 6 + 2 selv sts) and work according to chart.

The chart shows only RS rows.

On WS rows, purl all sts and yo’s.

The pat rep = 10 sts wide.

k2tog: knit 2 stitches together

skpo: slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 1 and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch 

cdd (Central Double Decrease): slip first and second stitches together as if to knit, knit 1 stitch, pass two slipped stitches over the knit stitch

Row 1: edge st, k1, yo (yarn over), k3, * cdd, k3, yo, k1, yo, k3, repeat from * to the last 7 sts, cdd, k3, yo, k1, edge st.

Row 3: edge st, k2, yo, k2tog, k1, * k2, skpo, yo, k3, yo, k2tog, k1, repeat from * to the last 7 sts, k2, skpo, yo, k2, edge st.

Row 5: knit all sts.

Row 7: edge st, skpo, k3, yo, * k1, yo, k3, cdd, k3, yo, repeat from * to the last 7 sts k1, yo, k3, k2tog, edge st.

Row 9: edge st, k2, skpo, yo, k1, * k2, yo, k2tog, k3, skpo, yo, k1, repeat from * to the last 7 sts, k2, yo, k2tog, k2, edge st.

Row 11: knit all sts.

Repeat Rows 1-12 throughout.
