Double Wicker Knitting Stitch
How to knit Double Wicker Stitch:
Work with a multiple of 6 stitches + 4 + 2 edge stitches.
Cast on 18 stitches (6 + 6 + 4 + 2 edge sts) and work according to chart.
The chart shows only Right Side rows.
On Wrong Side rows, work all sts as they appear.
The patt rep = 6 sts wide.
2-st RT: skip 1 st, knit 2nd st before first st, without dropping from LH needle, knit the first st, drop both sts from LH needle
2-st LT: knit through the back loop 2nd st behind first st, without dropping from LH needle, knit the first st, drop both sts from LH needle
2-st RTp: knit 2nd st before first st, without dropping from LH needle, purl the first st, drop both sts from LH needle
2-st LTp: purl 2nd st behind first st, without dropping from LH needle, knit the first st, drop both sts from LH needle
Row 1: edge st, * 2-st LTp, 2-st RTp, 2-st RT *; repeat from * to *, ending with 2-st LTp, 2-st RTp, edge st.
Row 2 and all even-numbered rows: Work each stitch as it appears on this side of work (k the k sts and p the p sts).
Row 3: edge st, k1, 2-st LTp, * 2-st RTp, 2-st LTp twice *; repeat from * to *, ending with p1, edge st.
Row 5: edge st, * 2-st LT, 2-st LTp, p2 *; repeat from * to *, ending with 2-st LT, 2-st LTp, edge st.
Row 7: edge st, p1, * 2-st LT, 2-st LTp, 2-st RTp *; repeat from * to *, ending with 2-st LT, p1, edge st.
Row 9: edge st, 2-st RTp, * 2-st LTp, 2-st RTp twice *; repeat from * to *, ending with 2-st LTp, edge st.
Row 11: edge st, k1, * p2, 2-st RTp, 2-st RT *; repeat from * to *, ending with p2, k1, edge st.
Repeat Rows 1-12 throughout.
