Diamond Stitch Knitting Pattern

How to knit Diamond Relief Stitch:

Multiple of 10 + 2 edge sts.

Cast on 22 sts (10 + 10 + 2 edge sts) and work according to chart.

The chart shows only RS rows.

On WS rows, work sts as they appear.

The pat rep = 10 sts wide.

C2BP: slip 1 st to cable needle, hold to back, K1, P st from cable needle

C2FP: slip 1 st to cable needle, hold to front, P1, K st from cable needle

Row 1: edge st, * C2FP, p2, k2, p2, C2BP, repeat from *, edge st.

Row 2 and all even-numbered rows: work sts as they appear.

Row 3: edge st, * p1, C2FP, p1, k2, p1, C2BP, p1, repeat from *, edge st.

Row 5: edge st, * p2, C2FP, k2, C2BP, p2, repeat from *, edge st.

Row 7: edge st, * k1, p2, C2BP, C2FP, p2, k1, repeat from *, edge st.

Row 9: edge st, k1, * p1, C2BP, p2, C2FP, p1, k1, repeat from *, edge st.

Row 11: edge st, k1, C2BP, p4, C2FP, k1, repeat from *, edge st.

Repeat rows 1-12 throughout.
