Diamond Stitch Knitting Pattern

Work with a multiple of 26 stitches + 1 + 2 edge stitches.

Cast on 55 stitches (1 + 26 + 26 + 2 edge stitches) and work according to chart.

The chart shows only Right Side Rows.

On Wrong Side Rows, work stitches as they appear; purl the yarn-over loops; knit the garter stitch.

The pattern repeat = 26 stitches wide.

Begin with 1 edge stitch and 1 stitch before patt rep, work patt rep throughout, end with 26 stitches after patt rep and 1 edge stitch.

k: Knit

yo: yarn over

1 st in garter stitch (gst): Knit in right side and wrong side rows

k2tog: knit 2 stitches together as one

skpo: slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 1 and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch 

cdd (Central Double Decrease): slip first and second stitches together as if to knit, knit 1 stitch, pass two slipped stitches over the knit stitch
