Diamond Stitch Knitting Pattern

How to knit Diamond Stitch:

Work with a multiple of 12 stitches + 1 + 2 edge stitches.

Cast on 15 stitches (12 + 1 + 2 edge stitches) and work according to chart.

The chart shows only Right Side Rows.

On Wrong Side Rows, purl all stitches and yarn overs.

The patt rep = 12 stitches wide.

Begin with 1 edge stitch, work patt rep throughout, end with 1 stitch after patt rep and 1 edge stitch.

 

yo: yarn over

p2tog: purl 2 stitches together

p2tog tbl: purl two stitches together as one stitch through the back loop

Row 1: edge st, * k4, yo, p2tog, p1, p2tog tbl, yo, k3 *; repeat from * to *; k1, edge st.

Row 2 and all even-numbered rows: purl all stitches and yarn overs.

Row 3: edge st, * k3, yo, p2tog, p3, p2tog tbl, yo, k2 *; repeat from * to *; k1, edge st.

Row 5: edge st, * k2, yo, p2tog, p5, p2tog tbl, yo, k1 *; repeat from * to *; k1, edge st.

Row 7: edge st, * k1, yo, p2tog, p7, p2tog tbl, yo *; repeat from * to *; k1, edge st.

Row 9: edge st, * k1, yo, p2tog tbl, p7, p2tog, yo *; repeat from * to *; k1, edge st.
