How to knit the Diamond Pattern:
Work with a multiple of 18 stitches + 3 + 2 edge stitches.
Cast on 23 stitches (1 + 18 + 2 + 2 edge stitches) and work according to chart.
The chart shows only right-side rows.
On wrong side rows, work stitches as they appear; purl any yarn overs.
The pattern repeat is 18 stitches wide.
Begin with 1 edge stitch and 1 stitch before the pattern repeat, work the pattern repeat throughout, end with 2 stitches after the pattern repeat and 1 edge stitch.
Abbreviation:
k: knit
p: purl
yo: yarn over
k2tog: knit 2 stitches together as one
skpo: slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 1 and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch
k3tog: knit 3 stitches together as one
cdd (Central Double Decrease): slip first and second stitches together as if to knit, knit 1 stitch, pass two slipped stitches over the knit stitch
