Diamond Cable Stitch knitting pattern

How to knit Lace Diamond Cable Stitch:

Work with a multiple of 21 sts + 8 + 2 edge sts.

Cast on 31 sts (1 + 21 + 7 + 2 edge sts) and work according to chart.

The chart shows only Right Side Rows.

On Wrong Side Rows, work sts as they appear; work yo's Purl.

The patt rep = 21 sts wide.

Begin with 1 edge st and stitch before patt rep, work patt rep throughout, end with 7 sts after patt rep and 1 edge st.

yo: yarn over

k2tog: knit 2 stitches together

skpo: slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 1 and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch 

cdd (Central Double Decrease): slip first and second stitches together as if to knit, knit 1 stitch, pass two slipped stitches over the knit stitch

C4F: slip 2 sts to cable needle, hold to front, K2, K2 from cable needle

Row 1: edge st, p1, * p1, k4, p2, k4, k2tog, yo, k1, yo, skpo, k4, p1 *; repeat from * to *; p1, k4, p2, edge st.

Row 2 and all even-numbered rows: work each stitch as it appears on this side of work (knit the k sts and purl the p sts) and purl any yarn-over loops.

Row 3: edge st, p1, * p1, C4F, p2, k3, k2tog, yo, k3, yo, skpo, k3, p1 *; repeat from * to *; p1, C4F, p2, edge st.

Row 5: edge st, p1, * p1, k4, p2, k2, k2tog, yo, k5, yo, skpo, k2, p1 *; repeat from * to *; p1, k4, p2, edge st.
