How to knit Cable Stitch:

Multiple of 12 + 4 + 2 selvage sts. 

Cast on 18 stitches (12 + 4 + 2 edge sts) and work according to chart.

RS rows and WS rows are shown.

Read RS rows from right to left, WS rows from left to right.

The pat rep = 12 sts wide.

Begin with 1 selv st (edge), work patt rep throughout, end with 4 sts after patt rep and 1 selv st.

Work rows 1-6 once, then repeat rows 3-6 throughout.
