Vest with Lace Diamond Pattern

How to knit the Vest with lace diamond pattern:
Size: US 10/12, UK 12/14.
Material:
200 g yarn (50% wool, 50% acrylic; 392 m/100 g); straight and circular needles size 1.5 mm (US 000, UK 17); crochet hook size 1.5 mm (US 7 steel).
Stockinette stitch: right-side rows knit, wrong-side rows purl.
Lace Diamond Pattern:
Work following the chart, which shows only right-side rows.
On wrong-side rows, work the stitches as they appear, purl the yarn overs.
Begin with 1 edge stitch and the stitches before the pattern repeat, repeat the pattern throughout, end with the stitches after the pattern repeat and 1 edge stitch.
Repeat Rows 1-44 throughout.
Picot edging pattern: work in rounds.
Rows 1, 2, 4 and 5: stockinette stitch.
Row 3: * knit 2 stitches together, yarn over *, repeat from * to *.
Row 6: bind off all stitches knitwise.
Gauge: 25 stitches x 32 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Back:
Cast on 153 stitches and work 264 rows in lace diamond pattern.
For the neckline in row 265 from the beginning, bind off the center 39 stitches and at both sides in every 2nd row bind off 1 stitch 6 times = 51 stitches.
In row 287 from the beginning bind off all stitches.
Work the left side in reverse.
Front:
Work as for back, but with a deeper neckline.

Finishing:
Sew shoulder and side seams.

For the armhole bands, pick up 156 stitches along each armhole and work 6 rows in picot edging pattern.
Fold the bands to the wrong side and sew in place.
Crochet the lower edge of the vest in rounds as follows:
Rounds 1 and 2: single crochet.
Close each round with a slip stitch.
Round 3: * 5 single crochet into the next 5 single crochet of the previous round, 1 picot *, repeat from * to * until the end of the round. Close the round with a slip stitch.
