V-Neck Pullover

How to knit the V-Neck Pullover:
Sizes: US 6–8 / UK 10–12 and US 12–14 / UK 16–18
Material:
750/850 g yarn (52% cotton, 48% polyamide, 98 yd/50 g), knitting needles size 8 (5 mm / US 8), circular needles size 8 (5 mm / US 8).
Ribbing Pattern: work alternately 1 knit stitch, 1 purl stitch.
Fantasy Pattern: number of stitches multiple of 12 + 1 + 2 edge stitches.
Work according to the chart, which shows only right-side rows.
On wrong-side rows, purl all stitches and yarn overs.
Begin with 1 edge stitch and 6 stitches before the pattern repeat, repeat the pattern throughout, end with 7 stitches after the pattern repeat and 1 edge stitch.
In height, repeat the 1st to the 32nd row.
Special decreases:
On the right side: 1 edge stitch, 1 knit stitch, knit 2 stitches together.
On the left side: slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 1 stitch, pass the slipped stitch over (= slip-slip-pass-over), 1 knit stitch, 1 edge stitch.
Gauge:
Fantasy Pattern: 16.5 stitches and 28 rows = 4 x 4 in (10 x 10 cm).
Back:
Cast on 75/78 stitches and work 3¼ in (8 cm) in Ribbing Pattern.
Continue in Fantasy Pattern.
After 11½/12 in (29/30.5 cm) from the ribbing, mark the beginning of the armholes with markers on both sides.
For the shoulder slope, after 18/18¾ in (46/47.5 cm) from the ribbing, bind off on both sides every 2nd row 4 x 5 stitches / 5 x 5 stitches.
At the same time, for the neckline bind off the center 31/33 stitches and on both sides of the neckline edge bind off 2 stitches in the 2nd row.
Front:
Work as for the back, but for the V-neckline, after 12¼/12¾ in (31/32.5 cm) from the beginning, divide the work in the middle, bind off the center stitch and continue each side separately = 37/43 stitches. At the neckline edge decrease 1 stitch with special decreases 14/18 times every 4th row and 2/0 times every 6th row.
Sleeves:
Cast on 51 stitches and work 3¼ in (8 cm) in Ribbing Pattern.

After 17¼ in (44 cm) from the beginning, bind off all stitches loosely.
Finishing:
Sew shoulder seams.
Sew side and sleeve seams. Set in the sleeves.
Along the neckline, pick up 138/146 stitches, work 1½ in (4 cm) in Ribbing Pattern, decreasing 1 stitch on both sides in every row, then bind off the stitches loosely in pattern.
Sew the edges of the ribbing band together.
