Sweater with Lace Diamonds Pattern

How to knit the Sweater with Lace Diamonds:
Sizes: US 14/16 (18/20), UK 18/20 (22/24), EU 40/42 (44/46)
Materials:
500 (550) g yarn (35% cotton, 35% acrylic, 30% viscose, 148 yards/50 g); straight and circular knitting needles US 4.

Stockinette stitch: knit on right-side rows, purl on wrong-side rows.

Lace Diamonds Patterns 1 and 2 (over 15 stitches):
Work according to Charts 1 and 2, which show right side rows only.
On wrong side rows, purl all stitches and the yarn overs.
Work Rows 1–24 once, then work Rows 25–60 three times, and finish with Rows 61–64.

Lace Panel (over 4 stitches):
Row 1: * knit 2 stitches together, yarn over, knit 2, repeat from * throughout.
Row 2: * purl 2 stitches together, yarn over, purl 2, repeat from * throughout.
Repeat these 2 rows throughout.

Average Gauge: 21.5 stitches and 31.5 rows = 4 x 4 inches (10 x 10 cm).

Back:
Cast on 128 (136) stitches and work 1 wrong side row in purl stitches.
Then arrange the stitches as follows: 1 edge stitch, 0 (4) stitches in Stocking Stitch, 4 stitches Lace Panel, * 4 stitches Lace Panel, 15 stitches Stocking Stitch, 4 stitches Lace Panel, 15 stitches Stocking Stitch, repeat from * 2 more times, 2 x 4 stitches Lace Panel, 0 (4) stitches Stocking Stitch, 1 edge stitch.
After 6 inches = 47 rows (15 cm) from the cast-on edge, rearrange the stitches as follows: 1 edge stitch, 0 (4) stitches Stocking Stitch, 4 stitches Lace Panel, * 4 stitches Lace Panel, 15 stitches Lace Diamonds Pattern 1, 4 stitches Lace Panel, 15 stitches Lace Diamonds Pattern 2, repeat from * 2 more times, 2 x 4 stitches Lace Panel, 0 (4) stitches Stocking Stitch, 1 edge stitch.
After 15½ inches = 123 rows (39 cm) from the cast-on edge, bind off 4 (8) stitches at each side for the armholes = 120 stitches.
After 23 inches = 183 rows (58 cm) from the cast-on edge, work the stitches of the Lace Diamonds Patterns in Stocking Stitch again.
After 24½ inches = 197 rows (62.5 cm) from the cast-on edge, bind off the center 22 stitches for the neckline and finish each side separately.
For the neckline shaping, bind off at the inner edge in every 2nd row 3 times 3 stitches and 1 time 2 stitches.
After 25¾ inches = 207 rows (65.5 cm) from the cast-on edge, bind off the remaining 38 shoulder stitches.

Front:
Work as for the Back, but with a deeper neckline.
For this, after 23¼ inches = 185 rows (59 cm) from the cast-on edge, bind off the center 14 stitches and then in every 2nd row bind off 1 time 4 stitches, 1 time 3 stitches, 2 times 2 stitches and 2 times 1 stitch, then in every 4th row bind off 2 times 1 stitch.

Sleeves:
Cast on 74 stitches for each sleeve and work 1 wrong side row in purl stitches.
Then arrange the stitches as follows: 1 edge stitch, * 15 stitches Lace Diamonds Pattern 2, 4 stitches Lace Panel, 15 stitches Lace Diamonds Pattern 1 *, 4 stitches Lace Panel, repeat from * to * once more, 1 edge stitch.
For the sleeve shaping, increase at both sides from the cast-on edge 5 (2) times 1 stitch in every 6th row and 15 (18) times 1 stitch in every 4th row = 114 stitches.
Work the first 4 increases into the Lace Panel, then work the remaining increased stitches into Lace Diamonds Pattern 1 on the right side and Lace Diamonds Pattern 2 on the left side.
After 12¾ inches = 101 rows (32 cm) from the cast-on edge, bind off all stitches.

Finishing:
Sew the shoulder seams.
Using the circular knitting needles, pick up 118 stitches evenly around the neckline and work in the round 1 round in purl stitches and 1 round in knit stitches, binding off the stitches at the same time.
Work 1 round of reverse single crochet around the neckline (single crochet worked from left to right).
Set in the sleeves, then sew the side and sleeve seams.
