How to knit the Sweater with Lace Diamond Pattern:

To fit bust: US sizes: 6/8 (10/12) 14/16, UK sizes: 10/12 (14/16) 18/20
Finished bust measurement: 96 (108) 120 cm / 37.75 (42.5) 47.25 inches
Materials:
500 (550) 600 g yarn (100% cotton, 110 m/50 g); size 2.5 and 4 US knitting needles / 3 and 3.5 mm knitting needles and size 2.5 US circular needles / 3 mm circular needles.

Stockinette Stitch: right-side rows - knit stitches, wrong-side rows - purl stitches.

Garter Stitch: knit all stitches.

Horizontal Rib Pattern: * 4 rows in Stockinette Stitch, 10 rows in Garter Stitch, 6 rows in Stockinette Stitch, repeat from *.

Vertical Lace Panel: work with a multiple of 3 stitches.
Work according to chart 1, which shows only right-side rows.
On wrong-side rows, work the stitches as they appear, purl the yarn overs.
Repeat the pattern repeat and Rows 1 to 4 throughout.

Cable Pattern (over 11 stitches):
Work according to chart 2, which shows only right-side rows.
On wrong-side rows, work all stitches as they appear.
Repeat Rows 1 to 4 throughout.

Diamond Pattern (over 13 stitches):
Work according to chart 3, which shows only right-side rows.
On wrong-side rows, work the stitches as they appear, purl the yarn overs.
Repeat Rows 1 to 20 throughout.

Gauge: 22 stitches and 29 rows = 10 x 10 cm / 4 x 4 inches.

Back:
Cast on 109 (121) 133 stitches using 3 mm / US 2.5 knitting needles and work 1 wrong-side row in knit stitches, this row is not counted afterwards.
Then continue using 3.5 mm / US 4 knitting needles as follows: 1 edge stitch, 9 (15) 21 stitches Vertical Lace Panel, 13 stitches Diamond Pattern, 4 stitches Horizontal Rib Pattern, 6 stitches Vertical Lace Panel, 11 stitches Cable Pattern, 4 stitches Horizontal Rib Pattern, 13 stitches Diamond Pattern, 4 stitches Horizontal Rib Pattern, 11 stitches Cable Pattern, 6 stitches Vertical Lace Panel, beginning with the stitches at the arrow, 4 stitches Horizontal Rib Pattern, 13 stitches Diamond Pattern, 9 (15) 21 stitches Vertical Lace Panel, beginning with

For the shaping at the inner edge bind off in every 2nd row 1 x 3 stitches and 1 x 2 stitches.
After 56 cm / 22 inches = 162 rows (58 cm / 22.75 inches = 168 rows) 60 cm / 23.5 inches = 174 rows from the beginning bind off the remaining 26 (31) 36 shoulder stitches.

Front:
Work as the Back, but with a deeper neckline.
For this, after 48 cm / 19 inches = 140 rows (50 cm / 19.75 inches = 146 rows) 52 cm / 20.5 inches = 152 rows from the beginning bind off the middle 13 (15) 17 stitches and finish both sides separately.
At the inner edge bind off in every 2nd row 1 x 4 stitches, 1 x 3 stitches, 1 x 2 stitches and 3 x 1 stitch, then in the following 4th row bind off 1 x 1 stitch more.

Sleeves:
Cast on 45 (51) 57 stitches using 3 mm / US 2.5 knitting needles and work 1 wrong-side row in knit stitches.
Then continue using 3.5 mm / US 4 knitting needles as follows: 1 edge stitch, 0 (3) 5 stitches Vertical Lace Panel, 11 stitches Cable Pattern, 4 stitches Horizontal Rib Pattern, 13 stitches Diamond Pattern, 4 stitches Horizontal Rib Pattern, 11 stitches Cable Pattern, 0 (3) 6 stitches Vertical Lace Panel, beginning with the stitches at the arrow, 1 edge stitch.
For the sleeve shaping increase at the same time on both sides in the Vertical Lace Panel 15 x in every 8th row (12 x in every 8th row and 4 x in every 6th row) 12 x alternately in every 6th and 8th row and 6 x in every 6th row 1 stitch each time = 75 (83) 93 stitches.
After 43 cm / 17 inches = 126 rows from the beginning, for the sleeve cap bind off on both sides in every 2nd row 1 x 4 stitches, 1 x 3 stitches, 2 x 2 stitches, 6 x 1 stitch, 2 x 2 stitches, 1 x 3 stitches, 2 x 4 stitches.
After 54 cm / 21.25 inches = 156 rows from the beginning bind off the remaining 11 (19) 29 stitches.

Finishing:
Join the shoulder seams.
Using the circular needles pick up 105 (109) 113 stitches along the neckline edge and work 1 round in purl stitches, then bind off all stitches knitwise.
Join the side seams and sleeve seams. Sew in the sleeves.
