Sweater with Lace and Cable Pattern

How to knit the sweater with a lace and cable pattern:
Sizes: US 6/8 (10/12) 14/16; UK 10/12 (14/16) 18/20
Materials:
500 (550) 600 g yarn (50 % viscose, 50 % polyacrylic, 106 m/50 g); knitting needles 4 and 6 (US), 3.5 mm and 4 mm (UK); circular knitting needle 4 (US), 3.5 mm (UK).

Ribbing Pattern, with smaller needles:
Right-side rows: edge stitch, 1 knit stitch, 2 purl stitches, * 2 knit stitches, 2 purl stitches *, end with 1 knit stitch, edge stitch.
Wrong-side rows: work the stitches as they appear.
Repeat from * to * throughout.

Main Pattern 1:
Gauge: 20 stitches and 26 rows = 10 × 10 cm.
Stockinette stitch (right-side rows knit stitches, wrong-side rows purl stitches), worked with larger needles.
Main Pattern 2:
Work according to the chart. Only right-side rows are shown.
On wrong-side rows, work the stitches as they appear, purl the yarn overs.
Repeat rows 1 to 24 throughout.

Emphasized Decreases:
Right edge: edge stitch, 1 knit stitch, 2 purl stitches, 2 knit stitches, 2 purl stitches, 1 knit stitch, slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 1 stitch, pass the slipped stitch over.
Left edge: knit 2 stitches together, 1 knit stitch, 2 purl stitches, 2 knit stitches, 2 purl stitches, 1 knit stitch, edge stitch.
If the decreases fall into the pattern, do not work the cables at these points, work the remaining stitches in stockinette stitch.

Back:
Cast on 98 (110) 122 stitches with smaller needles.
On the wrong-side row, arrange the stitches as follows: edge stitch, 1 purl stitch, * 2 knit stitches, 2 purl stitches *, work from * to * 23 (26) 29 times, end with 2 knit stitches, 1 purl stitch, edge stitch.
Work in Ribbing Pattern for 8 cm.
Then continue with larger needles and work Main Patterns 1 and 2 as follows: edge stitch, 20 (26) 24 stitches in stockinette stitch, work the pattern repeat 3.5 (3.5) 4.5 times, 20 (26) 24 stitches in stockinette stitch, edge stitch.
For the raglan shaping, after 40 cm from the cast-on edge, bind off 5 (6) 7 stitches at both sides, then decrease 1 stitch in an emphasized way at both sides in every following second row 23 (26) 29 times.
After 58 (60) 62 cm from the cast-on edge, place the remaining 42 (46) 50 stitches on hold.

Front: Work in the same way as the back.
Sweater with Lace and Cable Pattern
Sleeves:
Cast on 50 stitches with smaller needles.
On the wrong-side row, arrange the stitches as follows: edge stitch, 1 purl stitch, * 2 knit stitches, 2 purl stitches *, work from * to * 11 times, end with 2 knit stitches, 1 purl stitch, edge stitch.
Work in Ribbing Pattern for 8 cm.
Then continue with larger needles and work Main Patterns 1 and 2 as follows: edge stitch, 4 stitches in stockinette stitch, work the pattern repeat 2.5 times, 4 stitches in stockinette stitch, edge stitch.
For the sleeve shaping, starting from the ribbing, increase as follows: in every following eighth row, increase 1 stitch at both sides 10 times; (in every following sixth row, increase 1 stitch at both sides 7 times, then in every following fourth row, increase 1 stitch at both sides 7 more times); in every following fourth row, increase 1 stitch at both sides 17 times, then in the following second row, increase 1 stitch at both sides once more.
Work the increased stitches into Main Pattern 1 = 70 (78) 86 stitches.
For the raglan shaping, after 40 (38) 36 cm from the cast-on edge, bind off 5 (6) 7 stitches at both sides, then decrease 1 stitch in an emphasized way at both sides in every following second row 23 (26) 29 times.
When 22 stitches remain, continue to work the sleeve according to the chart.
Place the remaining 14 stitches on hold.
Work the second sleeve in the same way.

Finishing:
Place the stitches on hold onto the circular knitting needle as follows:
14 stitches left sleeve, 42 (46) 50 stitches front, 14 stitches right sleeve, 42 (46) 50 stitches back.
The beginning of the round is between the back and the left sleeve.
Continue in Ribbing Pattern.
In the first round, arrange the stitches as follows, starting at the second-to-last stitch of the back: slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit together the last stitch of the back and the first stitch of the left sleeve, pass the slipped stitch over, 1 knit stitch, * 2 purl stitches, 2 knit stitches, repeat from * 2 times, end with 2 purl stitches, 1 knit stitch, slip the last stitch of the sleeve as if to knit, knit together 2 stitches of the front, pass the slipped stitch over, ** 2 purl stitches, 2 knit stitches, repeat from ** 9 (10) 11 times, 2 purl stitches, slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit together the last stitch of the front and the first stitch of the right sleeve, pass the slipped stitch over, 1 knit stitch, *** 2 purl stitches, 2 knit stitches, repeat from *** 2 times, end with 2 purl stitches, 1 knit stitch, slip the last stitch of the sleeve as if to knit, knit together 2 stitches of the back, pass the slipped stitch over, **** 2 purl stitches, 2 knit stitches, repeat from **** 9 (10) 11 times, end with 2 purl stitches = 104 (112) 120 stitches.
