Pullover with Pattern Combination
How to knit the pullover with a pattern combination:
Size: US 4–6 (10–12), UK 8–10 (14–16)
Material:
400 (450) g yarn (50% cotton, 50% polyacrylic, yarn length 135 m/50 g). Straight knitting needles and circular knitting needles size 4 mm (US 6, UK 8).
Ribbing Pattern: Alternately work 1 knit stitch, 1 purl stitch.
Garter Stitch:
In rows:
On right-side and wrong-side rows, work all stitches as knit stitches;
In rounds:
Alternately work 1 round of knit stitches, 1 round of purl stitches.
Stockinette Stitch: On right-side rows work knit stitches, on wrong-side rows work purl stitches.
Lace Pattern: The number of stitches is a multiple of 8 + 1 + 2 edge stitches.
Right-side row: Edge stitch, * work 1 knit stitch, yarn over, work 2 knit stitches, work 3 stitches together as knit, work 2 knit stitches, yarn over *, repeat from * to *, end with 1 knit stitch, edge stitch.
Wrong-side row: Work all stitches and yarn overs as purl stitches.
Zigzag Pattern: The number of stitches is a multiple of 20 + 1 + 2 edge stitches.
Work according to chart 1, which shows only right-side rows.
On wrong-side rows, work all stitches and yarn overs as purl stitches, unless otherwise stated.
Begin with 1 edge stitch and the stitches before the pattern repeat, repeat the pattern repeat throughout, end with the stitches after the pattern repeat and 1 edge stitch.
Work rows 1–44 once.
Check Pattern: The number of stitches is a multiple of 14 + 2 edge stitches.
Work according to chart 2.
Only right-side rows are shown.
On wrong-side rows, work the stitches as they appear, purl the yarn overs.
Repeat the pattern repeat between the edge stitches throughout.
Repeat rows 1–20 throughout.
Lace Ribbing Pattern: The number of stitches is a multiple of 5 + 2 + 2 edge stitches.
Work according to chart 3.
Only right-side rows are shown.
On wrong-side rows, work the stitches as they appear, work the yarn overs as knit stitches.

Gauge:
In the pattern sequence: 20 stitches and 30 rows = 10 x 10 cm;
In the lace pattern: 22 stitches and 27 rows = 10 x 10 cm;
In the lace ribbing pattern: 20 stitches and 30 rows = 10 x 10 cm.
Back:
Cast on 91 (115) stitches and work according to the pattern sequence.
For pattern adjustment, after 9 cm = 24 rows from the cast-on edge, evenly decrease 8 (12) stitches = 83 (103) stitches, and after 23.5 cm = 68 rows from the cast-on edge, increase 1 stitch = 84 (104) stitches.
For the armholes, after 34 cm = 102 rows (36 cm = 108 rows) from the cast-on edge, bind off 3 (4) stitches on each side once, then on every second row bind off 2 stitches 1 (2) times and 1 stitch once = 72 (86) stitches.
For the neckline, after 55.5 cm = 166 rows (59 cm = 176 rows) from the cast-on edge, bind off the center 18 (22) stitches and finish both sides separately.
For the neckline shaping at the inner edge, on every second row bind off 3 stitches once, 2 stitches once and 1 stitch once.
After 58 cm = 174 rows (61.5 cm = 184 rows) from the cast-on edge, bind off the remaining 21 (26) shoulder stitches on each side.
Front:
Work the same as for the back, but with a deeper neckline.
For this, already after 51.5 cm = 154 rows (55 cm = 164 rows) from the cast-on edge, bind off the center 14 (18) stitches.
For the shaping at the inner edge, on every second row bind off 3 stitches once, 2 stitches twice and 1 stitch once.
Sleeves:
Cast on 51 (59) stitches and for the cuff work 9 cm = 24 rows in the lace pattern, at the same time on the last wrong-side row evenly increase 3 (0) stitches = 54 (59) stitches.
Then continue working in the lace ribbing pattern.
For the sleeve increases from the cuff, on each side increase 1 stitch according to the pattern 6 times on every sixth row and 8 times on every eighth row = 82 (87) stitches.
For the sleeve cap, after 34.5 cm = 104 rows from the cuff, bind off 3 (4) stitches on each side once, then on every second row bind off 2 stitches 1 (2) times, 1 stitch 6 times, 2 stitches 7 (6) times, 3 stitches once and 4 stitches once.
After 46 cm = 138 rows from the cuff, bind off the remaining 18 (21) stitches.![]()
Finishing:
Close the shoulder seams.
For the neckline edging, pick up 82 (90) stitches with the circular knitting needle from the edge of the neckline and work 2 cm in garter stitch in rounds.
Then bind off all stitches loosely.
Set in the sleeves.
Close the side seams and sleeve seams.
