Lace Pattern:
Work according to chart 2.
The chart shows only Right Side rows.
On Wrong Side rows, work stitches as they appear, work yarn overs purlwise.
In width, begin with the central stitch.
Then continue to extend the pattern on both sides by 1 stitch every 2nd row.
In height, work rows 1–58 once, then repeat rows 32–58 throughout, continuing to extend the pattern in width on both sides accordingly.
Gauge:
24 stitches and 33 rows in stockinette stitch or in lace pattern with needles size 3.5 mm = 10 x 10 cm.
4 stitches in cable panel with needles size 3.5 mm = 1 cm wide.
Back with half sleeves on both sides:
With needles size 3 mm cast on 118 (128) stitches and for the lower border work 8 cm in the following sequence: edge stitch, 29 (34) stitches in ribbing pattern, 2 stitches in reverse stockinette stitch, 4 stitches cable panel A, 2 stitches in reverse stockinette stitch, 15 stitches lace pattern stripe, 2 stitches in reverse stockinette stitch, 4 stitches cable panel A, 4 stitches cable panel B, 2 stitches in reverse stockinette stitch, 15 stitches lace pattern stripe, 2 stitches in reverse stockinette stitch, 4 stitches cable panel B, 2 stitches in reverse stockinette stitch, 29 (34) stitches in ribbing pattern, edge stitch.
In the last row of the border increase 16 stitches evenly across ribbing pattern by working them twisted from horizontal strand = 134 (144) stitches.
Continue with needles size 3.5 mm in the following sequence: edge stitch, 37 (42) stitches stockinette, 58 stitches as established, 37 (42) stitches stockinette, edge stitch.
After 14 (15) cm from lower border for the V-yoke increase 1 stitch purlwise twisted from horizontal strand in the middle of work = 135 (145) stitches.
Then in every 2nd row decrease 2 stitches together purlwise before the 1st cable panel A and after the 2nd cable panel B.
To balance the decreases, after the 2nd cable panel A and before the 1st cable panel B increase 1 stitch purlwise twisted from horizontal strand.
Work the increased stitches in reverse stockinette stitch.
In the 7th yoke row begin lace pattern over the central stitch and continue to extend it to both sides every 2nd row as described.
Thus the reverse stockinette stripe after the 2nd cable panel A and before the 1st cable panel B remains always 2 stitches wide.
After 30 (31) cm from lower border for sleeve shaping cast on at both sides in every 2nd row 4 times 4 stitches and 14 times 5 stitches (12 times 4 stitches and 8 times 5 stitches).
This reaches the lower sleeve edges and there are 307 (321) stitches in total.
Work straight.
After 13 cm from lower sleeve edges bind off the center 33 stitches for neckline and finish both sides separately.
For shaping bind off at inner edge in every 2nd row 1 time 5 stitches and 1 time 3 stitches.
Place the remaining 129 (136) stitches for sleeve-shoulder line on a holder after 2 cm neckline height.
Front with half sleeves on both sides:
Work the same, but with deeper neckline.
For this bind off the center 19 stitches after 8 cm from lower sleeve edges and finish both sides separately.
For shaping bind off at inner edge in every 2nd row 1 time 3 stitches, 4 times 2 stitches, and 4 times 1 stitch.
Place the remaining 129 (136) stitches for sleeve-shoulder line on a holder at same height as back.
Finishing:
Join sleeve-shoulder seams using grafting stitch.
Pick up about 47 (51) stitches along each lower sleeve edge with needles size 3 mm and work 8 cm in ribbing pattern, then bind off all stitches as they appear.
Pick up about 96 stitches along neckline edge with circular needle size 3.5 mm and work 6 rounds in stockinette stitch, then for picot edge work 1 eyelet round as follows: *work 2 stitches together knitwise, yarn over*, repeat throughout.
Then work another 6 rounds in stockinette stitch and bind off all stitches knitwise.
Fold the neckline facing to the inside and sew.
Sew side seams and sleeve seams.
