Pullover with Lace Stripes

How to knit the Pullover with Lace Stripes:
Sizes: US 6–8 / UK 10–12 (US 8–10 / UK 12–14)
Materials:
700 (800) g yarn (60 % cotton, 40 % wool, yardage 164 yds/50 g), knitting needles size US 1.5 (2.5 mm) and US 2.5 (3 mm), one short circular needle size US 1.5 (2.5 mm), one cable needle.
Ribbing Pattern over 7 stitches with needles size US 1.5 (2.5 mm):
Row 1: edge stitch, * 1 stitch purl, 1 stitch knit through the back loop, 1 stitch purl, cross 2 stitches to the right knit (place 1 stitch on a cable needle and hold at back of work, knit 1 stitch, then knit the stitch from the cable needle), 1 stitch purl, 1 stitch knit through the back loop, repeat from * throughout, end with edge stitch.
Row 2: edge stitch, * 1 stitch purl through the back loop, 1 stitch knit, 2 stitches purl, 1 stitch knit, 1 stitch knit through the back loop, 1 stitch knit, repeat from * throughout, end with edge stitch.
Repeat the 7 stitches and 2 rows throughout.
Work all further patterns with needles size US 2.5 (3 mm).
Stockinette Stitch: right-side rows knit, wrong-side rows purl.
Lace Cable Pattern over 27 stitches:
Work according to chart.
Only right-side rows are shown.
On wrong-side rows, work stitches as they appear; work yarn overs purl.
Repeat the 16 rows throughout.
Lace Stripe Pattern over 6 stitches (or 8 stitches for size US 8–10 / UK 12–14):
Row 1: edge stitch, * 1 stitch purl, knit 2 stitches together, yarn over, 2 stitches knit, 1 stitch purl, repeat from * throughout, end with edge stitch.
Rows 2 and 4: work stitches as they appear, work yarn overs purl.
Row 3: edge stitch, * 1 stitch purl, 2 stitches knit, yarn over, slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 1 stitch, pass the slipped stitch over (slip-slip-pass-over), 1 stitch purl, repeat from * throughout, end with edge stitch.
For size US 8–10 / UK 12–14 work 1 additional stitch stockinette on both sides.
Repeat the 4 rows throughout.
For the neckline border, work the pattern in rounds and in every even round work stitches as they appear, work yarn overs knit.
Gauge:
In pattern mix, 29 stitches and 37 rows = 4 x 4 in (10 x 10 cm).
Back:
Cast on 142 (156) stitches and between the edge stitches work 1.5 in (4 cm) in Ribbing Pattern.
In the last row increase 31 stitches evenly.
Continue between the edge stitches: 0 (1) stitch stockinette, 5 times * 6 or 8 stitches Lace Stripe Pattern, 27 stitches Lace Cable Pattern *, 6 or 8 stitches Lace Stripe Pattern, 0 (1) stitch stockinette.
After 26.5 in (68 cm) from ribbing, bind off the center 31 stitches for neckline.
Finish each shoulder separately. At neckline edge bind off 7 stitches 2 times in every 2nd row.
After 27.5 in (70 cm) from ribbing, bind off remaining stitches.
Front:
Work as back, but with deeper neckline.
After 23.5 in (60 cm) from ribbing, bind off the center 17 stitches.
Finish each shoulder separately. At neckline edge bind off 5 stitches once, 4 stitches once, 3 stitches twice, and 2 stitches three times in every 2nd row.
After 4 in (10 cm) from beginning of neckline, bind off remaining stitches.
Sleeves:
Cast on 58 (65) stitches.
Between the edge stitches work 1.5 in (4 cm) in Ribbing Pattern.
In the last row increase 41 (34) stitches evenly.
Continue between the edge stitches: 2 (0) stitches Lace Stripe Pattern (for size US 6–8 / UK 10–12 start from 6th stitch), 2 times * 27 stitches Lace Cable Pattern, 6 (8) stitches Lace Stripe Pattern *, 27 stitches Lace Cable Pattern, 2 (0) stitches Lace Stripe Pattern.
For sleeve shaping increase 1 stitch on both sides in every 5th row 10 times and in every 4th row 22 times.
After 15 in (38 cm) from ribbing, bind off all stitches.
Finishing:
Sew shoulder seams.
From neckline pick up 132 stitches with circular needle and work 4 in (10 cm) in Lace Stripe Pattern over 6 stitches. Bind off stitches.
Sew facing to inside.
Set in sleeves, placing center of sleeve at shoulder seam.
Sew sleeve and side seams.
