How to knit the Lace Pattern Top:
Size: US 6/8 – UK 10/12 – EU 36/38 
Material:
200 g yarn (100% cotton, approx. 400 m / 200 g, 10 ply). Knitting needles US 10 (6 mm). Crochet hook US G-6 (4 mm).
Lace Pattern: work according to the chart.
The chart shows only Right Side Rows.
On Wrong Side Rows, purl all stitches and the yarn overs.
The pattern repeat is 18 stitches wide.
Begin with 1 edge stitch and 9 stitches before the pattern repeat, work the pattern repeat throughout, end with 10 stitches after the pattern repeat and 1 edge stitch.
Work rows 1-30 once, then repeat Rows 11-30 throughout.
Picot: work according to the crochet chart.
Abbreviation:
k: knit stitch
p: purl stitch
k2tog: knit 2 stitches together
skpo: slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 1 and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch 
sl st (slip stitch): Insert hook, yarn over and draw yarn through stitch in one motion.
sc (single crochet): Work as slip stitch until loop is on the hook, yarn over and draw through both loops.
Gauge: 15 stitches and 20 rows = 4 × 4 in / 10 × 10 cm over Lace Pattern using US 10 (6 mm) needles.
Back:
Cast on 55 stitches and work in Lace Pattern until piece measures 20 in / 51 cm. Bind off all stitches.
Front:
Work same as back until piece measures 14.25 in / 36 cm.
Divide work into two equal parts and continue separately.
At 19 in / 48 cm, shape neckline: decrease 6 stitches every 2 rows, 2 times.
At 20 in / 51 cm, bind off all stitches.

Finishing:
Sew shoulders and sides, leaving 5.75 in / 14.5 cm open for armholes.
Work around armholes, neckline and bottom edge with crochet according to picot chart.
With yarn held double, crochet a chain of 10 in / 25 cm, fasten off and sew one cord to each side of neckline as shown in the picture.
