Jacket with Fantasy Stitch Pattern

How to knit the jacket with fantasy stitch pattern:
Sizes: US 8–10 / UK 12–14 (US 12–14 / UK 16–18).
Materials:
700 (750) g yarn (80% wool, 20% polyamide; 164 yds/50 g). Knitting needles size US 1.5 and US 4 (2.5 and 3.5 mm); circular needles size US 1.5 (2.5 mm), 40 in (100 cm) long; 7 buttons.
Fantasy Stitch Pattern, needles size US 4 (3.5 mm):
Work according to the chart, which shows only right-side rows.
On wrong-side rows, work the stitches as they appear, work garter stitches as purl stitches.
Shift the pattern by starting alternately 1 pattern repeat with Row 1 and 1 repeat with Row 31 of the chart.
For size US 8–10 / UK 12–14 the width of the repeat is 24 stitches, for size US 12–14 / UK 16–18 it is 26 stitches.
Repeat Rows 1–60 throughout.
Gauge: 25 stitches × 36 rows = 4 × 4 in (10 × 10 cm).
Ribbing Pattern, needles size US 1.5 (2.5 mm): work * 2 knit stitches, 2 purl stitches *, repeat.
Written Instructions:
Back:
Cast on 146 (158) stitches and work 1.5 in (4 cm) in ribbing, in the last row increase evenly 2 (4) stitches = 148 (162) stitches.
Then continue in fantasy stitch pattern as follows: edge stitch, 6 repeats of 24 (26) stitches, alternatingly beginning with Row 1 and Row 31 of the chart, then the first 2 (4) stitches of the repeat in garter stitch, edge stitch.
At 26.75 (27.25) in [68 (69) cm] height, for the neckline bind off the center 32 (38) stitches, then on both sides bind off 3 stitches twice in every 2nd row.
At the same time, for the shoulder shaping bind off 13 stitches 4 times (14 stitches 4 times) in every 2nd row.
Left Front:
Cast on 74 (80) stitches and work 1.5 in (4 cm) in ribbing, in the last row increase evenly 1 (2) stitches = 75 (82) stitches.
Then continue in fantasy stitch pattern as follows: edge stitch, 3 repeats of 24 (26) stitches, alternatingly beginning with Row 1 and Row 31 of the chart, then the first 1 (2) stitches in garter stitch, edge stitch.
At 17.75 in (45 cm) height, for the neckline at the left edge bind off 1 stitch once, then bind off alternately every 2nd and 4th row 2 times 1 stitch (10 times 1 stitch), then every 4th row 20 times 1 stitch (15 times 1 stitch).
At 26.75 (27.25) in [68 (69) cm] height, work the shoulder shaping as for the back.
Right Front:
Work symmetrically to the left front, but after the edge stitch begin the fantasy stitch pattern with only 1 (2) stitches in garter stitch, and start the repeat alternately with Row 31 and Row 1 of the chart.
Sleeves:
Cast on 62 (70) stitches and work 1.25 in (3 cm) in ribbing, in the last row increase evenly 14 stitches = 76 (84) stitches.
Then continue in fantasy stitch pattern, working the 1st row as follows: edge stitch, 3 repeats of 24 (26) stitches, alternatingly beginning with Row 41 and Row 11 of the chart, then 2 (4) stitches in garter stitch, edge stitch.
For sleeve shaping, increase on both sides in every 6th row 8 (18) times 1 stitch, then alternately in every 4th and 6th row 18 (6) times 1 stitch = 128 (132) stitches.
At 17 in (43 cm) height, bind off all stitches.
Finishing:
Sew seams, sew in sleeves.
Along the vertical edges of the fronts and neckline, pick up approx. 236 (248) stitches on circular needles and work 1.25 in (3 cm) in ribbing.
At the same time, on the right band at 0.5 in (1.5 cm) height work 7 buttonholes: the 1st at approx. 0.5 in (1 cm) from the lower edge and the 7th at approx. 17.25 in (44 cm), the remaining 5 evenly spaced between.
For each buttonhole bind off 3 stitches and cast them on again in the next row.
Sew on the buttons.
