White Pullover with Textured Cable Pattern

Size: 8/10 (US 4/6)

Materials: 

Yarn: 850 g (100% Wool, yardage = 125 m/50 g); one pair quick knit needles and one circular needle, both size 6 mm (US 10).

Always work with two strands of yarn.

Stockinette stitch (St st): Work RS rows K and WS rows P.

Reverse stocking stitch (Rev st st): Work RS rows P and WS rows K.

Cable Rib Pattern: 

Row 1: alt K2, P1.

2nd and all further even rows: work sts as they appear.

Row 3: 2-st RC (SI 1 st to cn and hold to back, k1, k1 from cn), P1.

Work rows 1-4 once, then repeat rows 3-4 throughout.

Cable Pattern:

Work according to chart 1. Only RS rows are shown.

On WS rows, work all sts as they appear.

Work rows 1-30 once, then repeat rows 11-30 throughout.

Diamond Pattern:

Work according to chart 2. Only RS rows are shown.

On WS rows, work all sts as they appear.

Work rows 1-48 once, then repeat rows 9-48 throughout.

Cable:

Work according to chart 3. Only RS rows are shown.

On WS rows, work all sts P.

Repeat rows 1-4 throughout.

Gauge: 18 sts and 26 rows = 10 x 10 сm.

Back: 

Cast on 90 sts and work in Cable Rib Patt. 

After 6 cm from cast on work as foll: selv st, 16 sts in St st, 17 sts in Cable Pattern, 29 sts in Diamond Pattern, 12 sts in Cable Pattern, beg with 5th st, P2, 3 sts in Cable acc to chart 3, 16 sts in St st, selv st = 97 sts.  

Armhole Shaping: When work measures 43 cm from cast on, at each end bind off 4 sts once and on every other row 3 sts once, 2 sts 3 times and 1 stitch once = 69 sts.

Cont even.

Neckline Shaping: After 62 cm from cast on, bind off center 13 sts and complete both sides separately. 

For rounding at inside edge on every 2nd row bind off 3 sts once and 4 sts once. 

After 64 cm from cast on, bind off rem 21 sts for shoulder. 

Work in reverse for other side.

Front: 

Work like back, but with deeper neckline.

After 56 cm from cast on, bind off center 8 sts and complete both sides separately. 

For rounding at inside edge on every 2nd row bind off 1 st 9 times.

After 64 cm from cast on, bind off rem 21 sts for shoulder. 

Work in reverse for other side.

Sleeves: 

Cast on 39 sts and work in Cable Rib Patt.

After 7 cm from cast on, cont as foll: 2 sts in St st, 3 sts in Cable Pattern acc to chart 1, 29 sts in Diamond Pattern, 3 sts in Cable acc to chart 3, 2 sts in St st. 

Sleeve Shaping: Inc 1 st in St st each side every 4th row 12 times = 63 sts.

Cap Shaping: After 46 cm from cast on, at both ends bind off on every 2nd row 3 sts twice, 1 st 11 times and 2 sts 5 times. 

After 63 cm from cast on, bind off rem 9 sts.

Collar: With circular needle, pick up 77 sts evenly around neck edge and work in Cable Rib Patt.

After 10 cm from cast on, bind off all sts.

Finishing: 

Close shoulder seams.

Sew sleeve seams and set in sleeves.
