Tunic with Lace Pattern

tunic Size: M-L

Materials: 

Yarn: 500 g (55% cotton, 45% acrylic, yardage = 330 m/100 g); one pair quick knit needles and one circular needle, both size 3 mm (US 2.5). 

Reverse stocking stitch (Rev st st): Work RS rows P and WS rows K.

Reverse garter st (rev gst): purl every row.

Lace Pattern: Work according to chart. Only RS rows are shown.

On WS rows work all sts as they appear, purl yos.

Rep rows 1-8.

Tunic is worked top down in separate pieces.

Back/Front: 

Cast on 88 sts and work as foll: selv st, 2 sts in Rev st st, * 14 sts in Lace Pattern, 3 sts in Rev st st, rep from * 4 times more, 14 sts in Lace Pattern, 2 sts in Rev st st, selv st. 

For widening, on every 16th row, on each Rev st st stripe, make 3 sts 10 times out of centre st (P1, 1 yo, P1) = 8 sts inc'd (= 168 sts in total).  

After approx. 62.5 cm from beg, work last 10 rows in gst over Rev st st sts. 

When piece measures 65 cm from beg, bind off all sts.

Sleeves:

Cast on 68 sts and work as foll: selv st, 9 sts in Rev st st, 14 sts in Lace Pattern, * 3 sts in Rev st st, 14 sts in Lace Pattern, rep from * twice, 9 sts in Rev st st, selv st. 

Sleeve Shaping: When piece measures 29 cm from beg, bind off 1 st 7 times at both ends on every 8th row.

When piece measures 52 cm from beg, bind off rem 54 sts. 

Finishing: 

Sew raglan seams = 29 cm from beg.

Sew side and sleeve seams. 

Band: With circular needle, pick up 100 sts along neck edge from WS and work as foll: 

Rows 1-4 + Rows 6-9: St st; 

Row 5 (fold line): Purl. 

Fold band along fold row onto RS and sew open sts to neckline edge. 

Pick up 100 sts out of fold row sts and work 25 rows in St st. Bind off sts.
