Sizes: M-L

Materials: 

Yarn: 250 g (100% mercerized cotton, yardage = 200 m/50 g), one pair knit needles size 2 mm (US 0), one cable needle, and 2 buttons.

Garter stitch: Work RS rows and WS rows K.

Fancy Pattern: 

Work according to chart. Only RS rows are shown.

On WS rows, work all sts as they appear; work yos P. 

Repeat Rows 1-10 throughout.

Lace Panels: 

Work according to chart. Only RS rows are shown.

On WS rows, work all sts as they appear; work yos P. 

Repeat Rows 1 and 2.

Gauge:

over Lace Panels: 29 sts and 36 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Back: 

Cast on 132 sts and work 4 rows in garter st. 

Continue in Fancy Pattern.

After 104 rows, work in Lace Panels. 

Armhole Shaping: On Row 197 from cast on, transfer 20 sts from each end onto cable needle = 92 sts. 

Neckline Shaping: On Row 237 from beg, transfer center 66 sts onto cn. 

Strap (over 13 sts): 

Cont to work 82 rows in Lace Panels. 

To shape corners for straps, do not work yos on every 2nd row 5 times on lace panels = 3 sts. 

On Row 328 from cast on, bind off all sts. 

Rep for other strap.

Front: Work same as back. 

On Row 209 from cast on, bind off all sts.

Finishing:

Sew side seams. 

Shape neckline and armhole as foll: slip sts from cn onto needles and pick up 422 additional sts = 522 sts. 

Then work 4 rows in garter st, and bind off all sts. 

Sew on buttons.
