200 (250) g Vita Cotton COCO (100% mercerized cotton, 240 m per 50 g ball), one pair quick knit needles 3,5 mm (US 4).
Garter stitch (with double strand) - gst: Knit on RS and WS rows.
Wavy Pattern (with single strand): multiple of 27 sts plus 5
Work according to chart. RS and WS rows are shown.
Rows 1, 3, 5 (RS rows): K3, * yo, K2, yo, K2, yo, K3, K2tog 3 times, K3, yo, K2, yo, K2, yo, K1, rep from *, end with K3 instead of K1.
Rows 2, 4 and 6: Purl.
Pattern sequence: * 4 rows in gst (with double strand) and 6 rows in Wavy Patt (with single strand), rep from * throughout.
Gauge: 32 sts and 33 rows = 10 x 10 сm.
Cast on 140 (167) sts and work according to patt sequence.
Armhole Shaping: When piece measures 30 (34) cm = 100 (112) rows from beg, bind off 4 sts at each end, then 3 sts every other row twice, 2 sts 5 times and 1 stitch once = 86 (113) sts.
When decreasing, make sure that in wavy patt yos are balanced by sts worked tog.
Neckline Shaping: When piece measures 46 (52) cm = 152 (172) rows from beg, place center 26 (33) sts onto a holder, then 5 sts once and 3 sts twice from each neck edge.
When piece measures 48 (54) cm = 160 (180) rows from beg, bind off remaining 19 (29) shoulder sts on either side.
Front:
Work like back, but with deeper neckline.
Neckline Shaping: When piece measures 43 (49) cm = 142 (162) rows from beg, place center 12 (19) sts onto a holder and 5 sts every other row once, 4 sts once, 3 sts once and 2 sts once from each neck edge.
When front matches back, bind off remaining 19 (29) shoulder sts on either side.
Finishing:
Sew one shoulder seam.
Place the sts on holder to needle and pick 8 sts along front neck edge on either side = 104 (118) sts = 48 + 8 + 40 + 8 sts (55 + 8 + 47 + 8 sts).
With double strand, work 5 rows in gst, then bind off all sts.
Sew second shoulder seam.
With double strand, pick up 90 (102) sts along armhole edge and work 4 rows in gst, then bind off all sts.
Sew side seams.
