Materials:
Yarn: 450 g (100% Wool, 250 m/100 g); 1 pair quick knit needles US 7 (4,5 mm) and 1 circular knitting needle size US 7 (4,5 mm), crochet hook size 4.
Rib Pat: K2, P2 Rib.
Pattern st:
Work acc to chart 1. Only RS rows are shown.
On WS rows, work all sts as they appear.
Basic pattern:
Work acc to chart 2. Only RS rows are shown.
On WS rows work all sts as they appear, purl yos.
Gauge: 20 sts and 23 rows = 10 x 10 cm.
Back:
Cast on 87 sts and work as foll: Selv st, K10, 16 sts in Pattern st, 33 sts in Basic pattern, 16 sts in Pattern st, K10, selv st.
For the Waist Shaping, dec 1 st each side every 10th row 4 times = 79 sts.
For the Armhole Shaping, after 39 cm from beg, bind off at each end 3 sts once, then on every 2nd row 2 sts once, 1 st once = 67 sts.
For the Neck Shaping, after 55 cm from beg, bind off center 21 sts and complete both sides separately.
At inside edge, bind off on 2nd row 4 sts once.
When piece measures 56 cm from beg, bind off rem 19 sts each side for shoulders.
Front:
Work as given for back, but for the Neck Shaping, after 50 cm from beg, bind off center 15 sts and complete both sides separately.
For rounding at inside edge on every 2nd row, bind off 3 sts once, 2 sts once and 1 st 2 times.
When piece measures 56 cm from beg, bind off rem 19 sts each side for shoulders.
Sleeve:
Cast on 48 sts and for the band work 5 cm in Rib Pat.
Cont as foll: Selv st, K15, 16 sts in Pattern st, K15, selv st.
For the Cap Shaping, after 21 cm from beg, bind off at each end 3 sts once, then on every 2nd row 2 sts once, 1 st 4 times, 2 sts 2 times, 3 sts 2 times and bind off rem 10 sts.
Rep for other sleeve.
Finishing:
Join shoulder seams.
For the collar, with circular needle, pick up 90 sts evenly around neck edge.
Join and work in Rib Pat in rnds.
After 16 cm above pick up, bind off all sts in rib.
Sew in sleeves, join side and sleeve seams.
Along both lower edge of sweater and collar edge, with crochet hook, work 1 row crab st (= sc from left to right).
