MATERIALS

Yarn 700 g (50% Wool, 50% Acrylic, yardage = 280m/100g), 1 pair of knit needle size 4 mm, 1 button.

Rib Pattern 1: alt K1, P1.

Rib pattern 2: alt K2, P2.

Basic Pattern:

Work according to the chart where only RS rows are shown.

On WS rows, work all sts as they appear.

Repeat Rows 1-20 throughout.

Back:

Cast on 84 sts and work in Rib Patt 2.

When piece measures 32 cm from beg, inc 15 sts across the width and cont in basic patt.

Armhole shaping: When piece measures 57 cm from beg, at both ends bind off 4 sts, then on every 2nd row 2 sts twice and 1 st once.

Cont even.

Neck shaping: When piece measures 76 cm from beg, bind off center 23 sts and complete both sides separately.

For rounding at inside edge, bind off 3 sts once and 2 sts once on every other row.

When piece measures 79 cm from beg, bind off all sts.

RIGHT FRONT

Cast on 47 sts and cont as foll: selv st, 7 sts in Rib Patt 1 (band), 38 sts in Rib Patt 2, selv st.

When piece measures 32 cm from beg, inc evenly 10 sts on Rib Patt 2 sts and distribute sts as foll: selv st, 7 sts in Rib Patt 1, 48 sts in Basic Patt, selv st.

Work even.

For neckline slant, when piece measures 52 cm from beg, bind off 1 st 23 times on every 2nd row, work decs after band sts (cont band sts in Rib Patt).

Work collar at the same time.

After selv st, before band sts, M1 (make st from strand betw sts) 16 times on every 2nd row.

When piece measures 79 cm from beg, place collar sts off, bind off rem sts.

Sleeve:

Cast on 32 sts and work in Rib Patt 2.

For sleeve shaping, inc 1st at each side on every 6th row.

When piece measures 22 cm from beg, work in Basic Patt.

When piece measures 58 cm from beg, bind off all sts.

FINISHING

Close shoulder seams.

Sew side and sleeve seams. Set in sleeves.

Cont collar (work even in Rib Patt 2 as far as center back neckline).

Then sew collar seam.
