Raglan Top with Short Sleeves

Lightweight summer top with delicate filet crochet neckline and raglan shaping. Worked flat in pieces and seamed.

Sizes: EU 38-40 = US 8/10 = UK 10/12.

300 g of yarn (56% Polyamide, 26% Viscose, 18% Polyester; yardage = 400 m/100 g); one pair quick knit needles and one circular needle, both size 2,5mm (US 1.5), crochet hook size 3 mm (US C).  

Work according to the chart. Only right-side rows are shown.

On wrong-side rows, work stitches as they appear, and yarn overs as purl.

Make 3 chain stitches (counts as 1 double crochet), then repeat the following to the end of the row: 1 chain stitch, 1 double crochet.

Make 3 chain stitches, then repeat to the end of the row: 1 chain stitch over the chain space, 1 double crochet over the double crochet.

Ribbing Pattern: * K2, P2 *, repeat from * to * throughout.

Gauge: 23 stitches and 29 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Cast on 98 sts and work 3 cm in ribbing, beginning with 1 purl stitch after the edge stitch.

Continue in lace pattern as follows: edge stitch, work 6 times from stitch 1 to 16 of the pattern, edge stitch.

At 38 cm from the cast-on edge, for raglan shaping, bind off 5 sts at each edge. Then decrease 2 sts at each edge 8 times on every RS row as follows: Right side – edge stitch, 1 knit, slip 1 knitwise, k2tog, pass slipped st over; Left side – k3tog, 1 knit, edge stitch.

Place the remaining 56 sts on a stitch holder.

Cast on 66 sts and work 1 cm in ribbing, beginning with 1 purl stitch after the edge stitch.

Continue in lace pattern as follows: edge stitch, work 4 times from stitch 1 to 16 of the pattern, edge stitch.

At 2 cm from the cast-on edge, for raglan shaping, bind off 5 sts at each edge. Then decrease 2 sts at each edge 8 times on every RS row as follows: Right side – edge stitch, 1 knit, slip 1 knitwise, k2tog, pass slipped st over; Left side – k3tog, 1 knit, edge stitch.

Place the remaining 24 sts on a stitch holder.

Sew the side seams and raglan seams.

Place the stitches on holder to circular needle and work 2 cm in ribbing, then bind off all stitches.

Crochet around the neckline with 2 rounds of filet crochet.
