Raglan Cabled Pullover Pattern

Sizes: 8/10 (US 6/8).

Materials:

Yarn: 500 g (70% Wool, 30% Acrylic, yardage = 218 m/100 g); one pair quick knit needles and one circular needle, both size 2 mm (US 0), cable needle or stitch holders.

Rib Pattern: *K2, P3, rep from * throughout.

Basic Pattern:  

Work according to chart 1. Only RS rows are shown.

On WS rows work all sts as they appear, purl yos.

Sleeve Pattern: 

Work according to chart 2. Only RS rows are shown.

On WS rows work all sts as they appear, purl yos.

Gauge: 25 sts and 30 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Back: 

Cast on 110 sts and work as foll:

Row 1: selv st, * K2, P2, rep from * 4 times, K3, * P2, K2, P2, K2, P2, K3, rep from * 4 times, * K2, P2, rep from * 4 times, selv st. 

2nd and all further WS rows: work sts as they appear. 

Row 3 and Row 5: Repeat Row 1.

Row 7: selv st, K10, 78 sts (6 full patt reps) in Basic Pattern, P2, K6, P2, K10, selv st. 

Then work 102 rows in Basic Patt. 

Starting with Row 111 from beg, work as foll: selv st, P2, 104 M in Basic Patt, P2, selv st. 

Raglan Shaping: On Row 111 from beg, bind off 4 sts at each end, then dec 1 stitch (purl 2 sts together) each side every other row 27 times = 48 sts.

On Row 165 from beg, bind off all sts. 

Front: Work same as back. 

Sleeves:

Cast on 46 sts and work as foll:

Row 1: selv st, * P2, K2, rep from * twice, P2, K3, * P2, K2, rep from * once, P2, K3, * P2, K2, rep from * twice, P2, selv st. 

2nd and all further WS rows: work sts as they appear. 

Row 3 and Row 5: Repeat Row 1. 

Row 7: selv st, K12, 18 sts in Sleeve Patt, P2, K12, selv st. 

Then work in Sleeve Pattern for 134 rows. 

Sleeve Shaping: On Row 8 from beg, inc 1 stitch at each end, then 1 stitch each side every 6th row 21 times = 90 sts. 

Starting with Row 135 from beg, work as foll: selv st, P2, 84 M in Basic Patt, P2, selv st. 

Raglan Shaping: On Row 135 from beg, bind off 4 sts at each end, then dec 1 stitch (purl 2 sts together) each side every other row 28 times = 26 sts. 

On Row 191 from beg, bind off all sts. 

Finishing:

Sew side and sleeve seams. Set in sleeves. 

Neck Band: With circular needle, pick up 140 sts evenly around neck edge and work 8 rnds in Rib Pat. Bind off all sts.
