Pullover with Leaf Pattern

Sizes: 8/10 (14/16) 18/20

Materials: 

Yarn: 450 (500) 550 g (50% cotton, 45 % viscose, 5 % poliamide, 100 m per 50 g ball); one pair quick knit needles 5 mm (US 8) and crochet hook size 4 mm (US G). 

Leaf pattern (over 23 sts): 

Work according to chart 1. RS and WS rows are shown. 

Rep rows 1-12 throughout.

Chequered Pattern (over 8 sts): 

Work according to chart 2. Only RS rows are shown.

On WS rows, work all sts and yos P. 

Rep rows 1-16 throughout.

Border: 

Rnd 1: single crochet (sc);  

Rnd 2: * 1 slip stitch (sl st), skip 2 sc, 5 double crochet (dc) into one stitch, skip 2 sc, rep from * throughout.

Gauge: 23 sts and 28 rows = 10 x 10 сm.

Back: 

Cast on 96 (112) 128 sts and work as foll: selv st, 24 (32) 40 sts in Chequered Patt, 46 sts in Leaf Patt, 24 (32) 40 sts in Chequered Patt, selv st.  

Armhole Shaping: When work measures 37 (38) 42 cm from beg, bind off 5 (7) 9 sts at both ends, then 3 sts every other row 1 (2) 3 times, 2 sts once and 1 stith 1 (2) 2 times. 

Neckline Shaping: When piece measures 54 (56) 61 cm from beg, bind off center 22 (26) 32 sts and finish both sides separately. 

Shape inside edge and bind off 3 sts once on foll 2nd row. 

When piece measures 55 (57) 62 cm from beg, bind off remaining sts.

Front: 

Work same as Back until piece measures 34 (34) 39 cm. Then divide work at center for V-neck and complete both sides separately. 

Neckline Shaping: Dec 1 stitch every 4th (4th) 3rd row 14 (16) 19 times at inner edge (knit 2 sts together before Leaf Patt and work SKP (= sl 1 knitwise, k1, then pass slipped stitch over k1) after Leaf Patt). 

Work Armhole Shaping same as Back. 

When Front matches Back, bind off remaining sts.

Sleeves: 

Cast on 73 sts and work as foll: selv st, 24 (32) 40 sts in Chequered Patt, 46 sts in Leaf Patt, 24 (32) 40 sts in Chequered Patt, selv st.  

Sleeve shaping: When work measures 20 cm from beg, inc 1 stitch at both ends and 1 stitch every 5th (4th) 3rd row 4 (6) 8 times, working inc'd sts into pat as before. 

Cap Shaping: When work measures 30 cm from beg, bind off 5 sts at both ends, then 4 sts every other row once, 3 sts once, 2 sts once, 1 stitch 10 times, 2 sts twice, 3 sts once and 4 sts once. 

When piece measures 42 cm from beg, bind off remaining sts.

Finishing: 

Sew shoulder seams. Set in sleeves. Sew side and sleeve seams. 

With crochet hook, work all edges in Border.
