Pullover with Lace Leaves

Sizes: S/M (M/L)

Materials:

Yarn: 400 g (60% Viscose, 40% Acrylic, yardage = 400 m/100 g); 1 pair quick knit needles and one circular needle, both size 4 mm (US 6).

Stockinette stitch (St st): K RS rows; P WS rows; K rnds.

Lace Leaves Pattern: Multiple of 10 + 1 + 2 selv sts.

Work according to chart. Only RS rows are shown.

On WS rows, work all sts and yos P.

Beg with 1 selv st and sts before patt, rep patt, end with sts after patt and 1 selv st.

Back and Front: Work Rows 1-8 four times, work Rows 33-62 once, and repeat Rows 35-62 once, Rows 91-94 once, then repeat Rows 93-94 throughout.

For sleeves, repeat rows 35-62 throughout.

Gauge:

in Lace Leaves Pattern: 21 sts and 27 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Back:

Cast on 93 (103) sts and work in Lace Leaves Pattern.

Armhole Shaping: When piece measures 41.5 cm = 112 rows from beg, bind off 3 sts once at each end, then 1 st 7 times every other row = 73 (83) sts.

Neckline Shaping: When piece measures 59 cm = 160 rows (60.5 cm = 164 rows) from beg, bind off center 17 sts and complete both sides separately.

For rounding at inside edge bind off 5 sts once, 3 sts once, 2 sts once and 1 st once on every other row.

After 63 cm = 170 rows (64.5 сm = 174 rows) from beg, bind off rem 17 (22) sts each side for shoulders.

Front:

Work like back, but with V-neck as foll:

When piece measures 34 cm = 92 rows from beg, bind off center st and complete both sides separately.

For neck slant, bind off 1 stitch every other row 19 times at inner edge.

If not necessary, do not work extra yos, or work K2tog or skpo instead of 3 sts, depending on patt.  

Sleeve:

Cast on 63 (73) sts and work in Lace Pattern.

Cap Shaping: After 41.5 cm = 112 rows from beg, bind off 3 sts once at each end, then 1 st 4 (6) times every other row, 1 stitch 5 (3) times every 4th row, and again bind off 1 st 2 (4) times, 2 sts once and 3 sts twice every other row.

When piece measures 56.5 cm = 152 rows from beg, bind off remaining 19 (25) sts.

Finishing:

Sew shoulder seams.

For band, with circular needle, pick up 68 (71) sts along neck slants, 1 center st, and 34 sts along back neck = 171 (177) sts, and work as foll: work 1 rnd P, work center st K, work 2 rnds in St st, work 1 rnd alternating betw K2tog and 1 yo, 2 rnds in St st.

At the same time, in order to shape corner, from Rnd 2 onwards, slip center st tog with prev st kwise, work next st K and pass two slipped sts over on every rnd.  

Then bind off all sts pwise.

Sew in sleeves, join side and sleeve seams.
