Pullover with Butterfly Pattern

Size: 16 (US 12)

Materials:

Yarn: 650 g (40% Wool, 60% Acrilic, yardage = 150 m / 100 g); 1 pair quick knit needles size 5 mm (US 8). 

Garter st (gst): k every row.

Butterfly Pattern: Foll Chart 1.

Fancy Pattern: Foll Chart 2. 

Seed Stitch:

Row 1 and all odd rows: *K1, P1; rep from *.

Row 2 and all even rows: Work in reverse, i.e. purl K, knit P.

Gauge over Butterfly Pattern: 16 sts = 10 сm.

Front:

Cast on 68 sts and work in garter st. 

After 3 cm from cast on work 27 cm in Butterfly Pattern. 

For waist shaping, bind off 1 st twice at each end on every 6th row. 

After 30 cm from cast on cont in Fancy Pattern. 

Beg with 6th row from Butterfly Pattern inc 1 st twice on every 6th row at both ends. 

Neckline Shaping: After 40 cm from cast on work first 33 sts, bind off 2 center sts and complete row.

Cont to work each shoulder separately. At inside edge bind off 1 st 7 times. 

Armhole Shaping: After 48 cm from cast on bind off 4 sts at each end. 

Cont armhole decreasing as foll: bind off 1 st 12 times at beg of RS row.  

When armhole measures 20 cm, bind off rem 10 sts each side for shoulders.

Back:

Cast on 68 sts and work same as for front. 

Armhole Shaping: After 48 cm from cast on bind off 4 sts at each end. 

Cont armhole decreasing: bind off 1 st 12 times on every 2nd row at both ends. 

When armhole measures 20 cm, bind off rem 36 sts.

Sleeves:

Cast on 57 sts and work in garter st. 

After 3 cm from cast on work 27 cm in Butterfly Pattern. 

After 30 cm from cast on cont in Fancy Pattern. 

After 42 cm from cast on work armhole as for back. 

When armhole measures 20 cm, bind off rem 4 sts.

Finishing:

Sew shoulder and side seams. 

Set in sleeves. Make sure sleeve centers align with shoulder seams.

Neck Band: Pick up 66 sts from center of back neckline to center of front neckline and work 4 cm in Seed Stitch. 

Rep for other half of band. 

On front, superimpose pieces of band over each other and sew up.  

Sew back seam of neck band.
