Pullover in Fancy Pattern with Cables

Sizes: 10/12 (US 8/10).

Materials:

Yarn: 400 g (70% Acrylic, 30% Wool, yardage = 166 m/100 g); quick knit needles sizes 5 and 6 mm (US 8 and 10) and one circular needle size 6 mm (US 8). 

Rib Patt: * K1, P1, rep from *, K1. 

Stockinette stitch (St st): work RS rows K and WS rows P. 

3-st LC = SI 1 st to cn and hold to front, K2tog, K1 from cn. 

3-st RC = Sl 2 sts to cn and hold to back, K1, K2tog from cn. 

Fancy Pattern: 

Row 1: * 3-st LC, 1 yo, rep from *, K1. 

2nd and all further even rows: purl. 

Row 3: K1, * 1 yo, 3-st RC, rep from *. 

Row 5: rep from Row 1. 

Cable Pattern 1 and 2: Work acc to charts 1 and 2.  

On WS rows, work all sts as they appear.

Rep from * to *.

Gauge over K with 6 mm needles: 16 sts and 19 rows = 10 x 10 cm.  

Back/Front: 

Using needles size 5 mm, cast on 74 sts and work in Rib Patt. Inc 14 sts evenly across last WS row = 88 sts.

After 7 cm from cast on switch to 6 mm needles and cont as foll: 5 sts in St st, 12 sts in Cable Pattern 2, 16 sts in Fancy Pattern, 22 sts in Cable Pattern 1, 16 sts in Fancy Pattern, 12 sts in Cable Pattern 2, 5 sts in St st. 

When piece measures 47 cm from cast on, bind off sts.

Sleeves:

Using needles size 5 mm, cast on 42 sts and work in Rib Patt. Inc 8 sts evenly across last WS row = 50 sts.

After 7 cm from cast on switch to 6 mm needles and cont as foll: 5 sts in St st, 12 sts in Cable Pattern 2, 16 sts in Fancy Pattern, 12 sts in Cable Pattern 2, 5 sts in St st. 

Sleeve Slants: Inc 1 st 4 times on every 16th row each side. 

When piece measures 49 cm from cast on, bind off sts.  

Finishing:

Sew shoulder seams joining 12 cm for each shoulder. 

Collar Shaping: With circular needle, pick up 90 sts evenly around neck edge and work in Fancy Pattern. 

When collar measures 22 cm from cast on, bind off sts. 

Set in sleeves 16 cm from shoulder seam on either side of front and back edge. 

Sew side and sleeve seams.
